The Organic Company Little Towel 35x60cm Evening Bay GOTS certified

Product description

This small and refined towel, called Little towel, is from The Organic Company and is specially designed for the kitchen. Or rather: for our hands when working in the kitchen, because we actually wash them quite a lot while cooking. It is therefore nice to have a kitchen towel that absorbs and dries quickly.

The towel is practical in size and has a beautiful and cleverly integrated strap, so it can be hung in the middle or at the top.

The Little Towel has the following dimensions: 35x60cm. The towel is very pleasant to use and remains beautiful wash after wash.

The Organic Company Little towel

The towel is woven in an absorbent, quick-drying and unique pique weave.

In Scandinavia, not everything always has a specific purpose, which is what makes many products so wonderfully multifunctional. Use the product where you find it beautiful, practical and necessary. The towel can be seen, which means it can be useful in many rooms and in many places. Think of the kitchen, toilet or the sink in the bathroom.

By purchasing this towel you are also making a responsible choice, because it is made from 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton. This certification guarantees that the entire process from agriculture to the end product is done responsibly.

The Organic Company

In The Organic company they only work with organic cotton, because it makes a difference. Their mission is: buy less and buy better. This Danish company wants to make a difference and encourage people to contribute to a better world. That's why honesty, transparency and their ambitious desire to make this difference is their rock-solid foundation for 'The Organic Company', founded in 2007 by Joy Vasilyev.

GOTS certified – 100% organic cotton

The Organic Company's products are made of 100% organic cotton and since 2010 all products are made of 100% GOTS certified organic cotton.

Organic cotton is a natural, renewable and biodegradable fiber. It benefits cotton producers and the environment in developing countries by avoiding the harmful effects of toxic pesticides, and lower production costs improve social conditions. The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the world's leading textile processing standard for organic fibres, including environmental and social criteria, supported by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain.

The aim of the standard is to define globally recognized requirements that guarantee the organic status of textiles, from harvesting the raw materials, through environmentally and socially responsible production, to labeling to provide a credible guarantee to the end consumer.

Normally organic applies to agriculture, but in GOTS it is much more than just agriculture. It's the whole process; farming, harvesting, cleaning, processing, weaving/knitting, dyeing and sewing. The two-pronged GOTS approach covers both environmental and social issues, which apply to the entire supply chain.

Less and Better

The Organic company therefore does not design for the sake of design, but where there is demand for it. As a result, they do not have a mega collection of 1000 articles, but around 100 products. All new products must solve a problem, fulfill a need or improve a category.

The Organic Company operates a "less and better" strategy, which includes good quality and good functionality without fast fashion or seasonal colors, with a focus on promoting alternatives to disposable items. They would like to see this strategy reflected in many more mainstream companies. We must realize that in general many disposable products contain the same amount of raw material as reusable products, making the shift (from disposable to reusable) an essential step towards much better resource management.
