Moebe Standing Frame A5 White

This beautiful Moebe frame is made of white powder-coated aluminum, plexiglass and a rubber band. The big difference with the other Moebe frames is that this frame can stand upright without any tools. The Moebe frame has a depth that ensures it remains good and stable, both upright (portrait) and horizontal (landscape).

This standing A5 frame is a unique frame designed by the Danish Studio Moebe. The frame is partly transparent, which gives it its characteristic appearance. The Moebe Frame consists of 4 aluminum frame parts, 2 plexiglass plates and a rubber band. The rubber band holds the 4 frame parts together, which you place around the Plexiglas plates. The simplicity of this design is typical Danish design, simple, beautiful and also functional.

Hanging is not applicable for this frame due to the thickness of the frame and the weight of the frame.

Framing posters and flowers

The special thing about this frame is that you can frame anything you want, as long as it is flat. It is certainly suitable for posters and photos, but consider dried flat flowers or leaves. If you want to enjoy the flowers for a long time, dry and crush them beforehand, otherwise they may deteriorate after a few days because the moisture in the flowers and leaves has nowhere to go. It is important to know that if you want sturdy cards in A5 format frames, only one will fit, because there is no more space in the frame in which you clamp the Plexiglas plates. If you want something beautiful visible on both sides, choose thin prints (thickness of printing paper / photo paper) if you want to frame them in A5 format. If the prints are smaller, such as A6 size, then twice slightly thicker cards will fit in them.

Transparent

The great thing about this Moebe A5 frame is the option for a transparent frame. If you frame an A6 size photo, a transparent frame will be created around the card. This means that the frame remains an airy object, despite its thicker frame parts. If you place the frame on the windowsill, the light can also shine through the frame.

Switch list

Tips! It is important to start working with the frame on a clean (soft) surface (e.g. a clean tea towel) to prevent scratches in the plexiglass. Plexiglass is more sensitive to scratches than glass, so it's good to take this into account when working on the frame.
