Marimekko Unikko towel 70x150cm dark blue gold tone

The beautiful bath towel of 70x150cm with Unikko design from Marimekko is made of organic cotton terry cloth. The colors on one side are reversed on the other side (flower dark blue on one side and white on the other side). There is a loop halfway along the long side on which you can hang the towel.

Unikko

The Unikko (poppy) design was born in 1964 after Armi Ratia, the founder of Marimekko, announced that Marimekko would never print a floral pattern. Maija Isola refused to follow Armi's orders and - in protest - created a whole series of beautiful floral prints. One of them was Unikko, which has become a story of creativity, strength, courage and confidence in itself.
