Marimekko Unikko tea light holder set of 2 white and dark blue

NIEUW
Product description

A beautiful set of two Unikko tea light holders from Marimekko. The tea light holders have the shape of the Unikko flower and two different colours, a glossy dark blue colour and a matt white. The Unikko candlesticks are made of ceramic and come together in a special anniversary packaging.

We recommend washing the products by hand.

This set of two candlesticks is packed in the Unikko 60th anniversary box.

Marimekko series Unikko

The Unikko design was created in 1964 by Maija Isola and has since become an international icon of marimekko. Marimekko's founder, Armi Ratia, believed that it was not possible to capture the true essence of real flowers in print. That is why floral prints were previously excluded from Marimekko's collections.

Maija Isola therefore designed Unikko as an abstraction of a flower instead of a photorealistic representation. Today, Unikko is a powerful emblem of joy and creativity, seamlessly integrated into Marimekko's design identity.

2024 is the year that Marimekko celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Unikko design. Special editions, sometimes with a link in terms of colors to the 1960s, but also new designs are released that year.
