Marimekko Pienet Kivet cushion cover 50x50cm black

This Pienet Kivet cushion cover from Marimekko is made of a nice sturdy fabric. The cover feels sturdy, but supple and is made of 100% cotton.

There is a zipper on one side of the cushion. The cushions are made of the full width of the fabric, so the same cushion made of the same fabric can still differ slightly, because the pattern is slightly staggered. This makes each pillow unique.

The cushion cover is supplied without inner cushion, but can be ordered directly when necessary.

Cushions on the couch

The Pienet Kivet cushion cover is very nice to combine with other cushions on the couch, with other Marimekko patterns or beautiful plain cushion covers, if you like something quieter. Combine it with black and white or with a nice colour.

The cushion cover is washable at 60 ° C, follow the washing instructions given by Marimekko. You can find them on the label on the cushion cover.

Marimekko Kivet design

Maija Isola created the Kivet design in 1956 by cutting out circles from colored paper with scissors. The shapes of the design are probably inspired by the large rough-edged stones that originally occupied the site of the artist's studio.

Inner cushion

The cushion covers from Marimekko are supplied without inner cushion. You may still have a 50x50cm inner cushion in the house, if this is not the case, then you can order one immediately when you purchase the cover. The Marimekko white inner cushion is firm yet soft cushion that fits in every 50x50 cushion cover. The outside of the cushion is white and made of 100% cotton and is filled with polyester. The pillow can be washed at 40 ° C, use 1/3 less detergent than normal (see washing instructions on the pillow).
