This beautiful powder pink Unikko duvet cover from Marimekko is made of 100% cotton with a jacquard knit.

The duvet cover is 150x210cm and is supplied without pillowcases. You can order these separately (per piece). The duvet cover has a large opening at the bottom to put the duvet in and take it out.

The duvet cover is made of 198 TC cotton. TC stands for 'ThreadCount' or the thread density (number of threads in an inch²). The higher this number, the softer the material feels.

50% of the cotton used in this duvet cover is organic.

Hand openings in the top corners make it easy to change covers.

Marimekko Unikko design

The design Unikko (poppy) was born in 1964 after Armi Ratia, the founder of Marimekko, had announced that Marimekko would never print a flower pattern. Maija Isola refused to follow Armi's orders and created - out of protest - a whole series of beautiful floral prints. One of them was Unikko, which has become a story of creativity, strength, courage and confidence in itself.

As standard, no pillowcases are supplied with Marimekko duvet covers. This is because there are many different pillows on the market. The pillow sizes also vary enormously in the Netherlands. Marimekko has therefore chosen to supply the pillowcases separately, so that everyone can make their own suitable choice. Marimekko also had to make a choice in the large amount of different formats in the world. It is therefore possible that not exactly your size is available, but perhaps one that comes close.

Mixing Patterns

Because the duvet cover does not come with pillowcases as standard, you can also consider adding a different design. If you want peace and quiet and you just love the Räsymatto design, you can add those pillowcases. But a little mixing of designs can give an extra nice effect, just like with the Marimekko tableware.

The duvet cover is made of 100% cotton and is washable at 60 degrees. Follow the washing instructions on the product label and you will enjoy it for years to come.
