Aya & Ida - Drinking bottle
The sustainable drinking bottle from Aya & Ida is perfect for on the go and keeps your drinks perfectly cold for 24 hours and hot for 12 hours. The inside and outside of the drinking bottle is made of 1st class food-approved stainless steel 18/8. Your drinks won't come into contact with plastic, so you never have to worry about BPA, chemicals or endocrine disruptors. Each product is lab certified to meet or exceed LFGB (Food Contact Testing).
The drinking bottles are not dishwasher safe. Aya & Ida recommend rinsing the drinking bottle with warm water after each use, especially if the bottle is used to store a liquid other than water. For a thorough cleaning, they recommend using warm water, mild soap, and a bottle brush. If you want a more organic alternative, you can use a solution of vinegar and a teaspoon of baking soda - it's just as effective. After washing, let them dry with the cap and bottle neck facing down so that the water can flow out. This can also be used to just generally dry the bottle so it doesn't smell stuffy.

900 times better for the environment?
Tap water is 900 times more environmentally friendly than bottled water
Aya & Ida: “With the AYA&IDA drinking bottle, we want our customers to drink in style while helping the planet breathe. Day after day, we help reduce your individual carbon footprint. When a liter of water leaves the tap, only 0.0002 kg of CO2 is emitted. It includes everything from constructing waterworks to pumping and transporting in the pipeline network. On the other hand, if you grab a liter of bottled water from the supermarket, it will emit no less than 0.18 kg of CO2 – 900 times more than tap water.”
Are all Aya & Ida products BPA free?
Yes! All products are precisely designed from stainless steel with the aim of containing NO plastic. And absolutely nothing that can wear out over time and leak or release harmful and unhealthy substances like BPA and phthalates. The lids for the drinking bottles, Cup2go and Food'ie are therefore made of 100% pure polypropylene plastic, which is not affected by acids, bases and solvents - and is known for its durability. When it needs to be recycled, it makes a very small carbon footprint and is not considered problematic waste. Another advantage of polypropylene is that it can be used again and again for new purposes. In this way the material gets a new life. It is good for the environment and minimizes CO2 emissions.
Aya & Ida save nothing when it comes to choice of materials, because both respect for nature and people form their basis. Stainless steel products are safer than plastic and aluminum as they can be filled with any type of beverage/food without leaking chemicals. To make their high-quality, sustainable reusable products that are both sustainable and safe, they therefore depend on this stainless steel 18/8, which is both durable, food-safe and non-reactive. Different drinking bottles (from other brands) have a different type of stainless steel on the inside than on the outside and Aya & Ida has chosen to implement the high quality here. This way your drinking bottle can also last a lifetime - and if not - it is easy to recycle.
Is the exterior 100% scratch resistant?
Every paint that Aya & Ida chooses to finish their products with is made with a sustainable acrylic resin-based paint, free of lead and other toxic chemicals and approved for use in food. Because safety comes first. This also means that the paint can be scratched if you drop it or scrape it against another object. Careful use of the bottle prevents this. If it falls, the bottle is likely to get dented too, but you don't have to worry about safety: even if you use your stainless
If you drop your steel bottle, it will continue to serve you well, without you having to worry about any chemicals or toxins migrating into your food or drink.

Why purchase Aya & Ida products?
It's not just about extending the life cycle of the products in your home and reducing waste. All materials in their products are chosen to keep their customer healthy. As creators, they truly believe that even the smallest changes can have a big impact, even if it's just choosing a real drinking bottle, for example.
It is their philosophy that the life cycle of a product should be circular rather than linear. Products made from natural materials can have a long, functional life and then return to where they came from, instead of accumulating in a landfill.
