Marimekko Unikko Tea towel set of 2 pink red

A beautiful set of 2 Unikko tea towels in red and pink from Marimekko with the size 47 × 70 cm. Both tea towels have the same design. The tea towels are made of a mix of cotton and linen, 61% cotton with 39% linen.

Wash the tea towels before you use them, follow the washing instructions on the tea towels, do not add fabric softener, as this can affect the drying capacity. The tea towels dry really well.

Marimekko serie Unikko

The Unikko design was created in 1964 by Maija Isola and has since become an international icon of marimekko. Marimekko's founder, Armi Ratia, believed that it was not possible to capture the true essence of real flowers in print. That is why floral prints were previously excluded from Marimekko's collections.

Maija Isola therefore designed Unikko as an abstraction of a flower instead of a photorealistic representation. Today, Unikko is a powerful emblem of joy and creativity, seamlessly integrated into Marimekko's design identity.
