Please note: Photos are indicative only. Each item is 100% handmade in small batches and will vary slightly from batch to batch.
About. 17.75 cm Ø and approximately 2 cm high.
Each plate is unique
The nice thing is that every plate is unique, even if it looks the same at first glance, because each plate is glazed by hand and glazing is not always 100% accurate. This makes these plates so unique. There is (usually) 1 of each Moon Plate in stock. We therefore invite you to make a nice combination, tone-on-tone or a combination with a strong contrast. Extra fun to make your own selection. The plates are suitable for both hot and cold dishes. You can also simply place it somewhere nice and store your small accessories on it.
Hand washing is recommended, but it is also dishwasher safe (do not place ceramics against each other (or against another material), as this may cause scratches and damage) and microwave.
100% handmade
The board is hand-turned in Copenhagen in their own studio by their own potters. If you ever visit this beautiful city, be sure to drop by their shop and studio in one. You can see the potters at work. The finishing, glazing, is also done in the same studio.
Important: The photos are an indication of the plate you will receive. Because each plate is unique, there may be a small difference compared to the photo. The plate always has the same colors, but with a green-blue plate, one plate has the green slightly more prominently and the other the blue, which has to do with the 'run' of the glaze. The atmosphere, style and color combination will be correct, but there will be a difference, and one plate may have a runner, the other may not. Colors are also always difficult to display, this usually differs per medium (laptop, mobile) and can be slightly different. This (the uniqueness and color reproduction) is a given and therefore see the photos as indicative, to which no (return) rights are granted. You can always come by to see the bowls in real life and make your choice.
NOTE: In the shop you will find a selection of plates, Studio Arhoj makes this selection itself when sending. Ordering a specific board or a second copy is therefore difficult and not possible.
Ceramics care
Unglazed porcelain surfaces, such as the matte white areas on the Sip, slurp, quench, chug cups and melting mugs, are sometimes prone to light staining, unlike glazed porcelain. Regular washing can help remove and prevent stains. Arhoj recommends hand washing these items, but they can be placed in the dishwasher to remove stubborn stains. You can also place the item in a bowl of warm water with a little dish soap. Very stubborn stains can sometimes be removed with diluted chlorine bleach and limescale remover (first try on an invisible spot (underside, to make sure it doesn't leave any strange stains).
Gray lines on the glaze in the bowls are usually caused by your cutlery (e.g. spoon). These scratches are harmless, but if you want to get rid of them, they can easily be removed completely (with baking powder, magic sponge, Cream of Tartar (Toko). Grease stains on matte glaze can be removed with baking powder and water.
