Martin Schwartz - Deense Illustrator

Martin Schwartz (geboren in 1974) is een hedendaagse Deense illustrator en grafisch ontwerper en werkt vanuit zijn atelier in Vesterbro in Kopenhagen (DK).
Zijn serie stadprenten brengt hulde aan de verscheidenheid aan gebouwen die in elke stad te vinden zijn. Voor elk posterontwerp investeert Martin Schwartz veel tijd in het onderzoeken van de stad om haar DNA volledig te begrijpen. Praten met de lokale bevolking en het bezoeken van elke buurt zijn allemaal essentiële onderdelen van zijn onderzoek.

Het eindresultaat is een verbluffende weergave die de meest iconische gebouwen van de stad, historische bars en typische woonhuizen tot in de kleinste details weergeeft. Zijn illustraties geven je de ziel van een stad in één print. Deze prints heeft hij uitgebracht als posters en als puzzel.
