Lapuan Kankurit Kissanpäivät wool plaid 130x180 cognac
How cool is this Kissanpäivät plaid from Lapuan Kankurit? Kissanpäivät means cat days and is therefore also full of cats. The plaid is wonderfully thick and woolly. Matti Pikkujämsä is the designer of this plaid.
Wool plaid
A nice warm plaid to curl up under on the couch or during the cool evenings in the summer. The size of the blanket is 130x180 cm. The plaid has the same scene on both sides, only in the opposite color scheme. So the dogs are black on one side and off-white on the other. The edges of the plaid are finished with a feston stitch.

Lapuan Kankurit - Kissanpäivät blanket
This product is made from 100% New Zealand wool. The wool is mulesing free and they only work with certified spinners. All yarns are spun and dyed in Europe according to REACH regulations and comply with ÖKO-TEX certification.
Lapuan Kankurit's strategy is that they take responsibility for the entire production, from yarn to the finished product. For this reason, most of their collection is made in their own weaving mill in Lapua, Finland. If production is not possible there, they move to their partially owned factory in Lithuania.
Wool
Wool fibers from different parts of the world are different. The wool fibers used by Lapuan Kankurit are high-quality, certified pure new wool from South America, Scandinavia, New Zealand, Australia and South Africa. The wool yarn is mainly spun in Europe according to Oeko-Tex standard 100 and they guarantee that their wool is mulesing-free and certified.
Wool is known for its good insulating properties, keeping you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The surface structure of wool fibers naturally repels water and makes the textile antibacterial and antimicrobial.
Wool is anti-static and odor and stain resistant, so it does not collect dust mites and does not require regular washing. Wool is one of the most durable natural materials. Textiles made from these fibers can last for generations, but are also biodegradable - an ecological and sustainable choice.
Maintenance
You only need to wash the blanket when it is very dirty, otherwise hang the blanket outside in the fresh air for a while. Hand wash at max. 30 ° C or dry clean. If you are using washing powder, dissolve it in plenty of water. Immerse the blanket in water and wash immediately. Squeeze gently. Do not scrub, stretch, or wring. Rinse thoroughly and squeeze out most of the water. Press the blanket between towels until it is half dry and let it dry in an airy area. Not in the dryer. Iron with a damp cloth, max. 150 ° C.
