Product description

This marimekko voile fabric is a beautiful semi-transparent cotton fabric of the Pieni Elokuun Varjot pattern, printed in Helsinki. The print is beige with white plants.

The fabric is made of 100% Cotton.

You order the fabric per 50cm, for example if you want to order 200cm, order 4 pieces. You will receive the size together in one length.

Important: In the first photo you see the fabric in the full width of approx. 150cm (the design is narrower, approx. 140cm), the design is also smaller than the cotton/linen fabric (plants are smaller) and is changed every 88cm repeats.

Marimekko series Elokuun Varjot

The designer of the Elokuun Varjot collection is Maija Louekari. She took inspiration from her own wild garden for this Elokuun varjot (August shadows) print. The designer is fascinated by the changing seasons of the north. The new beginnings and the bountiful growth that follows, year after year. This design is an ode to green, freedom and the warm wind.

The Flora-inspired design Elokuun Varjot is a follow-up to the popular Siirtolapuutarha (city garden) design.

“With the Siirtolapuutarha print I dived into the world of plants. Elokuun varjot continues to explore the theme of growth. This time in more detail and with a modern twist.” – Maija Louekari.
