Snufkin is an adventurer and a wanderer, admired by those who are small and shy. Snufkin wears old green clothes and a wide-brimmed hat that he has had since birth. He carries everything he needs in his backpack as he believes having too much stuff makes life too complicated. He keeps as few worldly possessions as possible, considers them a burden, and is happier to keep the memory of a thing than of the thing itself.

Snufkin is easy going and carefree and likes to think things through. He always comes and goes as he pleases. He has many admirers in Moominvalley, especially among the smaller and more timid inhabitants. Snufkin meets every new person and event with curiosity and a warm heart. He enjoys spending time with the Moomins in Moominvalley.

Moomins

The Moomins are the main characters in a series of books and comics by Finnish author Tove Jansson. The Moomins are Scandinavian trolls, who live in their own valley (the Moom or Moomin valley). However, they look more like hippos, rather than the real mythological troll. In total 9 books, 5 picture books and 74 comics were made. The Moomins also have their own museum in Tampere and their own theme park, Muumimaailma (The World of Moom), in Nmetaali, Finland.
