Lars Rank Keramik
Lars Rank was trained as a visual artist at Det Jyske Kunstakademi. For many years his work was characterized by a combination of art and design, in which ceramics played a central role. From 2004, he focused entirely on designing and manufacturing high-quality ceramic products for the home.
Japan
During a visit to Japan (Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park) in 2005, he was given the opportunity to explore the Japanese ceramic tradition, and that has left clear traces in his products.
Scandinavian design
The Lars designs are deeply rooted in the Scandinavian design tradition and are characterized by pure and simple shapes and surprising decorations.
The process of designing is an interplay between the idea and the ceramic material. Partly because of this every product is unique. No two exactly the same products exist and that is what makes the products so unique!
Handmade
The products are cast by hand in porcelain and completely finished by hand. Quality is of paramount importance, attention is paid to details and all operations are carried out with great care and precision.
