EKTA Living Crush Me Pepper mill Black oak - design by Wirth
This is an inventive pepper mill from EKTA Living designed by Wirth, with a simple, timeless and beautiful design. Why inventive? The uniqueness of the design lies at the bottom. Most pepper mills are open at the bottom, this pepper mill has a plate at the bottom and this has several advantages.
Inventive design
What are the benefits of this plate? First of all, if you have used a pepper mill and you put it down, some pepper scraps will always fall out. The plate on the underside of this pepper mill, catches these pepper residues, this keeps the surface clean. Also if you pepper over a pan that is on the fire, then steam comes to the bottom of the pepper mill and pepper residues get attached to the pepper mill due to the moisture of the steam and the inside can get stuck. The plate stops this steam. This keeps the inside clean.
When making this pepper mill, the designer of by Wirth, Signe Wirth Engelund, not only focused on creating good design, but also on functionality and reducing waste. This created this pepper mill that is easy to use, easy to refill and has a lot of storage space for peppercorns. It is durable and can last for years.
CrushGrind
By turning the plate on the bottom you can adjust the coarseness of the peppercorns. Fill the pepper mill by unscrewing the plate at the bottom completely, so that the opening becomes visible. The interior is from CrushGrind, the best ceramic interior for a pepper mill that exists, truly Danish design.
You can use this pepper mill for various dried herbs and spices. The pepper mill is made from oiled oak. H14 cm x 5.5 cm.
