Merino wool socks

Cai only uses wool yarns from South Africa and South America, where no mulesing takes place. In addition, their wool is OEKO-TEX® certified. For extra durability, they knit with worsted wool, among other things, in which combed polyamide fibers provide extra strength and a longer lifespan of the yarn.

Wool is a naturally functional material thanks to its high moisture absorption and efficient moisture transport. It regulates temperature: it provides warmth in cold and cooling in hot weather. In addition, wool is dirt-repellent, antibacterial and fire-resistant.

Care tips for wool socks - With the right care, wool socks will stay beautiful and comfortable for longer.

Follow these simple tips:

  • Wash with care: Wool is sensitive to heat and friction. Wash the socks by hand or on the wool cycle of the washing machine, with cold water and a mild wool detergent. Avoid fabric softeners and aggressive detergents.
  • Do not wash too often: Wool is naturally odor- and dirt-repellent. Airing is often sufficient. Hang the socks in a well-ventilated place after use.
  • Dry flat: Gently squeeze out the water and let the socks dry flat on a towel. Do not wring or hang, to prevent deformation and stretching.
  • Proper storage: Store wool socks dry and airy, never in sealed plastic bags. Make sure they are completely dry before storing.
  • Avoid direct sunlight: Prolonged exposure to the sun can discolor the wool. Therefore, dry them out of the sun.

With this care, your wool socks will stay soft, warm and beautiful for longer.

Cai socks for all occasions – straight from Småland

In Hånger, deep in the forests of Småland, Cai has been developing and producing socks for every situation since 1946. From comfortable socks for everyday use and festive occasions to hard-wearing models for intensive work and outdoor activities, they have it all. They also supply private label products for retail and profile companies.

With more than 75 years of craftsmanship, Cai combines experience with innovation. Through careful choice of materials and well-thought-out designs, they create socks in which form and function come together seamlessly. Quality and sustainability are always central to them. They work with high-quality materials that are suitable for the harsh Scandinavian climate.

Production takes place in Sweden and the Baltic States. Thanks to their geographical proximity and personal approach, they build long-term partnerships, always responding to the specific wishes of their customers. Cai is a small, authentic family business with a strong focus on quality. They are proud of the trust they receive from their customers and see it as a privilege to be able to make unique, high-quality socks.

Cai's strength lies in the combination of tradition and innovative thinking. They are constantly developing new material compositions and designs for both their own collection and for external partners. From Småland, they continue to be a leader in socks for a wide range of applications as a flexible company.

The right sock partly determines how comfortable someone feels. Cai offers a wide range of socks made from natural and modern materials that retain heat and efficiently wick away moisture – suitable for both everyday use and extreme conditions.

Cai was founded in 1946 by Carl-Axel Inganäs, who started making quality products from authentic materials in Hånger. His son Björn continued this pursuit and modernized the company in the 1970s and 1980s. During this period, production capacity was also expanded and the import of additional products started.

Today, Cai remains true to its origins, with a strong focus on craftsmanship, innovation and customer focus.

Bengt & Lotta design

In the small shop at Norrtullsgatan 3 in Stockholm, you will find an oasis of creativity and design. With a bit of luck, you will meet Bengt and Lotta there. The duo met during their studies at Konstfack in Stockholm and have since enriched the world with their playful designs.

Bengt has always had a love for old objects, especially the simple, sometimes clumsy folk art. He believes that perfection can often be a bit boring. Lotta shares that love for the unexpected and loves things that make people happy.

Their unique patterns and illustrations now adorn all kinds of products, such as candlesticks, stationery, textiles and jewelry. Their work is part of the permanent collections of the Nordic Museum, Kulturen in Lund and the Glass Museum in Växjö, among others.

Visitors to the store and studio in Stockholm are surrounded by trays, lamps, porcelain, napkins and countless new ideas that are still in full development.

Now, Bengt & Lotta's recognizable motifs have also been incorporated into a completely new collection of wool socks. In collaboration with Cai, playful colors and high-quality materials have been combined. The result is a sock collection in which design and functionality go hand in hand.
