Oscar is a beautiful dog from Architectmade designed by Hans Bølling. There is really nothing Oscar can't do, because with his movable legs you can give him all kinds of poses.

**Oscar, Bobby, and Rufus - Playful Fun**

Hans Bølling’s love for dogs inspired him to design Oscar in 1953, followed by his larger counterparts, Bobby and Rufus. Although these three dog-like figures vary in size, they share the same technical details and clean lines, creating a timeless representation of the loyal four-legged friend.

With Bølling’s characteristic sense of humor, Oscar, Bobby, and Rufus are designed to mimic everything a real dog can do. From sitting and begging to playing and crawling, their personalities come to life, making them a joyful companion for every day (without needing to take them for a walk!).

Each figure is handmade with great precision. Oscar is crafted from beech wood and is 13 cm tall.

Hans Bølling's work is known for its playfulness, humor and wit. A passionate spirit, whose work and products are inspired by creative diversity. Bølling's interest in architecture became so strong that after training as a commercial artist he went back to school for a second degree. This allowed him to expand his practice from objects to include villas, housing complexes and town halls.

Early in his career he began making small figures from botanical materials as gifts for family and friends. The precision and personality in his objects laid the foundation for success, as he soon began selling his wooden figures to shops.

Bølling won a prize for his designs and invested the prize money in his own woodworking machine. Access to the means of production gave the starting signal for the production of Bølling's now famous duck series Duck & Duckling in 1950.
